Frequently Asked Questions

The Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes (ACReSAL) is a six-year World Bank assisted Project committed to landscape restoration in Northern Nigeria. It aims to address issues of desertification, water scarcity, and the negative impacts of climate change on agricultural productivity.
The project covers 19 Northern states of Nigeria and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). Our specific focus on this platform is the implementation and management of these initiatives within the FCT.
The project is led by the Federal Government of Nigeria (through the Ministries of Environment, Water Resources, and Agriculture) in collaboration with the World Bank. It is implemented at the state level by the respective state governments and the FCT administration.
ACReSAL aims to improve agricultural yields for rural farmers, especially women and youth groups, by promoting climate-resilient landscape management practices, distributing sustainable inputs, and tackling water scarcity issues to build long-term environmental and economic resilience.
